Carrot Cake Smoothie

It was such a beautiful day today! The sun was shining. Rain was hiding (in the morning, at least). What a perfect weather for a smoothie!


I’d have to say that one of my biggest obsessions is carrot cake imitations, after pumpkin pie. I don’t know what it is about pie-wannabes (actually ALL dessert-wannabes). I just can’t get enough of them lol! Maybe it’s the whole idea of eating guilt-free versions of your favorite dishes. Oh! Another thing that I love about carrot cake imitation, it’s such a great way to add vegetables to your breakfast!



1 carrot, chopped
1 frozen banana
1/2 cup yogurt
1/3 cup almond milk
1/4 cup rolled oats
1 TBS chia seeds
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
1/8 tsp cloves powder
1/8 tsp ginger powder

serves 1
1. Place all the ingredients in your blender. Blend until smooth.

2. Sprinkle with a bit of shredded carrots and chopped nuts.
