Despite the weather being a little weird at the moment in the US, it is definitely getting warmer! So it means, barbecue time!!!
Grilling is one of our favorite methods of cooking. Let’s start it with a delicious burger! Though not just any burger, we’re using coffee as a dry rub along with other spices. It should give your burger an extra smoky caramelizing kick.
8 oz. ground beef
2 tsp coffee
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp smoked salt
1/2 tsp pink peppercorn
1/2 tsp dried onion
1/2 tsp dried shallots
1/2 tsp dried garlic
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/4 tsp chipotle powder
1. Preheat the grill.
2. Put all the spices into a spice grinder to create a dry rub. Blend until fine.
3. Loosely pack and shape the ground beef. Rub the rub on both sides of the beef patty.
4. Cook the ground beef for about 5-8 minutes. Flip and cook again for about 5-8 minutes or until preferred doneness.
5. Serve with desired toppings.
