So I’ve seen this quite a number of times, and I usually make my oatmeal and eggs separately. But this morning I’ve decided to try it, plus it creates less dishes to wash. =p
Here’s the recipe that I used.
1/2 cup oatmeal
1 cup water
4 egg whites
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 tbs yogurt
1. Cook oatmeal on medium-high heat in water (the amount of water is always twice the amount of oatmeal), bring to a simmer.
2. Whisk egg whites and vanilla together, pour to simmering oatmeal. Add yogurt.
3. Once the egg whites are cooked, add honey if you want.
To be honest, this is pretty interesting taste. It’s not my usual oatmeal and eggs breakfast. I couldn’t really decide whether to add honey (like my regular oatmeal), or salt and pepper (like my omelet). However, it’s not a bad taste. Maybe something I need to get used to?
