It’s the most wonderful time of the year~
Tis the season of giving and hot chocolate :p
We had a simple early Christmas dinner at the office. My sister and I were in charge of the entire event with minimum budget! From decorations, to consumption, to whatever in the world were we going to do other than eat.
We were thinking of decorating the center table so it wouldn’t look so plain, but at the same time, it wouldn’t distract or be a nuisance during our feasting time. Edible gifts in a jar for everyone? Perfect! And nothing fits better with Christmas than hot chocolate. That warm velvety brown deliciousness hugging every inch of your soul as the air goes, “Oh, Holly niiiight… The stars are brightly shiiiiining~”
It’s such a fun gift to make. And pretty easy too! A perfect last-minute gift, or just a great gift in general. Plus, there’s nothing better than a homemade hot cocoa =D
For 1 jar
1/4 cup cocoa powder
1/4 cup raw sugar
2 TBS chocolate chips/carob chips
a pinch of cinnamon (optional)
a pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
1. Mix your cocoa powder with cinnamon and cayenne pepper, if using.
2. Layer an 8 oz. jar with cocoa powder mix, raw sugar, chocolate chips, top with mini marshmallow.
And the label that goes on the jar 🙂
