Lemon Detox

After all those sugars I posted last time, I think it’s time for us to do a little diet. I know some people, especially lots of girls have been waiting for this.

I got this recipe from my friends at work. It’s called… The Lemon Detox! All you need is fresh lemons, maple syrup, water, cayenne pepper, and a strong determination. Maybe some of you have heard from your parents (or other people) that sour food/drinks can make you lose some weight. Also, lemons have been used for cleansing for ages, and cayenne pepper is a great metabolizer. Cayenne pepper also gives a nice little kick to the drink. Maybe some of you wonder why we use syrup when we’re trying to go on a diet. It is actually an important part of the ingredient. Maple syrup is a natural syrup from trees, it gives you the energy you will need.

Anyways, enough of the blabber! Below are the steps:

Ingredients (1 serving) :
– 2 tbs. fresh squeezed lemon juice
– 2 tbs. maple syrup
– 8 oz. water
– a pinch of cayenne pepper

Mix all the ingredients together. You may drink it at room temperature, warm, cold, whatever suits your preference. It is recommended that you drink 6 to 8 glasses a day. Lots of people would starve themselves and just drink this lemon mixture, but I suggest you to still eat… at least fruits and veggies. Besides, if you starve yourself it will be easier for you to gain weight afterwards.

One of my friends at work has proven this detox to be successful! She lost 4 kgs (approx. 9 lbs) in a week! So for those of you who are trying to lose some pounds, be it for beauty, health, or confidence, try this detox! It’s easy, tasty, and healthy!
