Swiss Oatmeal

I know “being healthier” or “eating healthier” is in a lot of people’s new year’s resolution. So here’s a recipe to start off your healthy year!

Ingredients (serves 2):
1 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup milk of choice
1/4 cup fresh orange juice
2-1/2 tbs plain yogurt
1 tbs maple syrup
1 tbs raisins
1/4 tsp vanilla essence
Fruits (berries, melon, apple, banana, grapes, mango, etc), peeled and diced
Ground nutmeg or cinnamon (optional)

1. In a large bowl, combine oats, orange juice, milk, maple syrup, yogurt, vanilla, and raisins.

2. Mix, cover, and refrigerate overnight.

3. The next morning, add toppings like walnuts, fruits, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. If you want it to be less firm, add more milk until it reaches the consistency of your preference.

This overnight oatmeal uses the same idea as our Pumpkin Pie Oats. Make it before you sleep, wake up and ready to eat.
